Job Description:
We are looking for a diesel truck mechanic for our Quebec City location. The diesel mechanic inspects, maintains, diagnoses, and repairs designated on-road and off-road equipment to ensure proper vehicle operation and safety, as well as to meet quality, safety, and performance objectives.

Job Description
We are looking for a light-duty truck mechanic (gas-powered) for our Quebec City location. The mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and/or installing parts on delivery vehicles and equipment to ensure their proper operation and safety.
Location: 7000 Armand-Viau Street, Quebec City, G2C 2G4
Employment Contract: 40 hours/week
Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Salary Range: $34.20 to $44.84
The mechanic will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on the vehicle fleet;
- Analyze, diagnose, and repair components, among other tasks;
- Order parts;
- Document and update work orders;
- Comply with standards established by manufacturers and Purolator;
- Perform any other tasks related to the smooth operation of the workshop.
The mechanic must meet the following qualifications:
- Hold a DEP in automotive mechanics and have two years of relevant experience repairing road vehicle mechanisms, or have five years of relevant experience repairing road vehicle mechanisms.
- Hold a competency card from the joint committee or have 5 years of experience with a letter attesting to their skills for a vehicle fleet
- Hold a PEP card or a certificate of competency issued by the SAAQ
- Fluency in French
- Good physical strength
- Be responsible and reliable
- Be able to lift heavy weights, up to 70 lbs, alone
- Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Have 3 years of driving experience with a Class 5 license
- Pass the in-house practical driving test (including defensive driving training tests)
- Ability to work independently
- Willingness to learn and improve
- Basic computer skills
