What will you be doing?

The role of the Operations Support Specialist is to assist the District Service Quality Supervisor within a specific branch. The Operations Support Specialist will be overseeing the operation and the warehouse personnel within the facility. This involves processing freight on the floor as needed, and shipment entries into our ERP system.

This position will also supervise the IT component where customer enters shipping to ensure accuracy in shipment entries and working with brokers to ensure shipment moving in timely fashion.

This position will operate on its own, as the Operations Manager is based in another branch and not locally present. Therefore, a problem-solving mindset is required, along with demonstrated experience in problem solving without constant supervision or guidance.

Responsibilities

Directing operations and service of the branch:

Work with Manager to establish work goals, strategy, and standards to be achieved by team
Orient new staff members to the organization and department policies and procedures; review his/her position tasks and expectations of performance
Cross train in other warehouse positions as needed
Load and unload packages from processing stations / trailers
Receiving, weighing, measuring, scanning, labeling, and shipping while adhering to all Safety and Security regulations
Affixing labels to the packages; Scanning boxes from inbound staging area; Preparation of Bill of Ladings
Sign for vendor packages as they arrive throughout the day
Safety, upkeep, opening and closing, security, inspections etc.

Administrative tasks including:

Print customs paperwork from the broker, confirm brokers received, accepted by customs, and make sure customs paperwork for the day
Review strip sheet to prep work for inbound freight
Print out Customer Commercial Invoices, apply PARS, fax off to different brokers, review PARS and confirm clear
Monitor our ERP system to manage inbound shipment board
Assist Billing with finalization of HAWBS (validating dims, confirm bill to account, ensure auto calculation, MAWB finalization)
Weekly Reporting
Complete Health & Safety compliance trainings as required
Carry out other duties as appropriate and as assigned by his/her manager

Experience

What will you be doing?

The District Quality Service Supervisor (DSQS) is a critical member of the Operations team. This position will report to the Sr. Manager of Operational Excellence and will have direct oversight of assigned operational branches with Warehouse Supervisors reporting into this role from various regions within the district. This DSQS supports all West District operational functions, including line haul, pickup, and delivery, while working closely with Transportation and other internal teams to ensure smooth, efficient daily operations. The DSQS reports branch‑level operational metrics, including on‑time performance, cost per pound, linehaul utilization, and material‑handling costs, to the District Management team for consolidated reporting, analysis, root‑cause identification, and continuous improvement. As a member of the Learning and Development team, the Operations Trainer is responsible for ensuring that new and existing employees are trained and compliant with regulatory, safety, and health and safety training requirements at Purolator facilities. Nous sommes à la recherche d'un mécanicien mécanicien de camions légers (à essence) our notre établissement de Québec. Ce dernier doit inspecter, diagnostiquer, réparer et/ou installer des pièces sur les véhicules de livraison et l'équipement pour assurer leur bon fonctionnement et la sécurité des véhicules.

Établissement : 7000, rue Armand-Viau, Québec, G2C 2G4

Contrat de travail : 40 heures / semaine

Horaire du quart : Lundi au vendredi de 14h30 à 23h00

Échelle salariale : de 34.20 $ à 44.84 $

Le mécanicien doit effectuer les taches suivantes:

Faire l'entretien et l'inspection préventif sur la flotte de véhicules;
Analyser, diagnostiquer et réparer les composantes sans s'y restreindre;
Commander des pièces;
Documenter et mettre à jour les bons de travail;
Respecter les normes établies par les manufacturiers et Purolator;
Effectuer toutes autres tâches connexes à la bonne opération de l'atelier.

Le mécanicien doit posséder les qualifications suivantes:

Avoir un DEP en mécanique automobile et posséder deux années d'expérience pertinente dans la réparation des mécanismes des véhicules routiers ou posséder cinq années d'expérience pertinente dans la réparation des mécanismes des véhicules routiers.
Détenir une carte de compétence du comité paritaire ou 5 ans d’expérience avec lettre attestant ses compétences pour un parc de véhicule
Carte PEP ou posséder une attestation de compétences délivrée par la SAAQ

• Train, coach, and evaluate employees on proper procedures and performance standards, including hands-on demonstrations, ride-alongs, and competency-based assessments (across all Operations groups).
• Train facilitators; coach and mentor facilitators; and maintain a facilitator network.
• Maintain and update all training records in the Learning Management System (LMS) for all Operations employees under their responsibility.
• Facilitates cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment on training objectives.
• Coordinate scheduling and logistics for new hires.
• Support on-the-job trainers and seasonal workplace trainers.
• Deliver classroom or virtual training to front-line Operations employees.
• Oversee compliance and regulatory training for the Operations groups they support.

Experience

Description

La personne titulaire du poste supervise une ou plusieurs unités fonctionnelles dans l’entrepôt ou l’établissement de tri en vue de réguler le tri. Avec les autres gestionnaires, cette personne est responsable de l’efficacité globale de l’entrepôt ou de l’établissement de tri.

Responsabilités

• Évaluer le rendement des employés par rapport aux objectifs établis.
• Évaluer la capacité des employés à respecter les règlements de conformité et s’assurer que toutes les formations nécessaires sont offertes pour répondre à leurs besoins.
• Effectuer les activités principales du cycle de vie de l’employé pour les subordonnés directs (y compris le recrutement, la promotion, le licenciement, etc.).
• Superviser sur place tout le personnel du quai pour s’assurer de la conformité et du respect des normes de travail.
• Faire le suivi hebdomadaire et mensuel des indices de mesure de l’exploitation et du rendement financier des services de l’unité.
• Appliquer des mesures de contrôle appropriées afin de protéger les actifs et de réduire les risques.
• Participer aux réunions du comité de santé et sécurité de l’entrepôt ou de l’établissement de tri, et potentiellement le coprésider.
• Promouvoir une culture de sécurité interdépendante et respecter les politiques de sécurité au sein de l’entrepôt ou de l’établissement de tri afin d’assurer une grande qualité et de limiter les risques.
• Gérer les vérifications nécessaires de l’équipement et de la configuration des systèmes afin d’assurer la sécurité des opérations.
• Repérer et résoudre les problèmes et les problèmes potentiels liés à l’entretien et à l’équipement.
• Enquêter sur les blessures, les incidents et les accidents, faire le suivi nécessaire et mettre en œuvre les mesures correctives appropriées.
• Gérer les niveaux d’approvisionnement (fardage) et aider à maintenir un programme de retour.

Position Details

Monday to Friday, 2:00pm - 10:30pm, 40 hours per week

$40.53 per hour (next increase to 49.40$/h at four (4) months as per the Collective Agreement)

The Diesel Mechanic inspects, maintains, diagnoses, and repairs assigned on-/off-road and heavy duty equipment to ensure proper function and vehicle safety and meet quality and performance goals. Willing to work on both gasoline and diesel equipment.

Responsibilities

Inspect, service, and repair delivery and related vehicles to meet vehicle safety, operational, and productivity goals and standards
Conduct maintenance and repairs, order parts, document and update work orders, communicate with suppliers and operations, etc.)
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and report quality control issues (e.g., wipers not working) to determine their cause and identify if mechanical or general repairs or changes to the vehicle warranty are required
Conduct repairs, order and install parts, and inform customers of the status of repairs.
Maintain parts inventory and purchase parts required for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Determines if parts can be rebuilt or repaired and returned to the active inventory.
Coordinate administrative requirements for preventative maintenance
Provide emergency road service when vehicles break down on route to assess if the vehicle can be repaired on site
Identifies root causes and repair options (e.g., location of repair, payment options, parts or other materials required, methods of payment, etc.)
Arrange for trucks to be picked up through third party vendors (towing companies), etc.).

Additional Responsibilities

Education

Trade certification as an Automotive Service Technician (310T) to inspect, diagnose, repair, and service mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and components for cars, buses, and trucks.

Experience

5 years of experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive equipment.

Purolator is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Risk Manager to manage Purolator’s enterprise-wide risk management program and support in proactively identifying, assessing, and managing risks across our operations. This role will play a critical part in ensuring Purolator is protected against potential threats, resilient in the face of disruption, and compliant with insurance and risk-related requirements.

The Risk Manager will collaborate with operational business leaders to identify risks, recommend opportunities to strengthen risk mitigations, and communicate with all levels of management and stakeholders. Working with senior leaders, units and departments, the Risk Manager champions and coordinates the integration of risk management strategies across Purolator, identifies key areas of risk and suitable methods to objectively assess exposures, suggests and recommends risk mitigation strategies, liaises with internal stakeholders, and synthesizes information for effective communication to the Board of Directors.

The Risk Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders, and external partners to manage the insurance program, support claims management, and business continuity framework.

Responsibilities

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)

Manage the ERM framework and promote an interconnected risk culture
Lead the annual ERM workshops to identify and ensure top risks and mitigation strategies are tracked and reported
Perform and support operations with ad-hoc risk assessments and provide advice on risk mitigation strategies
Monitor and report on relevant risks and emerging trends
Develop and consistently evaluate Purolator risk appetite framework to ensure timely and informed decision making
Identify and implement effective risk management tools and techniques and provide support to leaders on a broad range of risk and insurance issues.
Oversee the development and regular updating of Purolator risk register, conduct periodic reviews, and facilitate the development of risk statements and risk management information that are relevant, applicable, and clear

Insurance & Claims Management

Administer insurance program across Purolator’s operations
Oversee claims management including the notices of claims related to insurance
Collaborate with insurance broker to ensure effective and timely insurance renewals, coverage negotiations, and policy documentation
Serve as the primary liaison with brokers, insurers, and internal stakeholders for insurance matters

Training & Awareness

Provide training and guidance to operational leaders and employees on risk management practices and risk assessment processes
Build awareness across the organization of insurance protocols, claims processes, and business continuity expectations

Reporting & Governance

Prepare reports and updates for senior leadership and the Board of Directors on material risk and emerging trends
Ensure compliance with risk and insurance-related regulations and reporting obligations
Support with tracking and monitoring incidents, losses, and the effectiveness of mitigation strategies

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional designation such as CRM, ARM, FRM, or CPCU is an asset).

Experience

At least 5 years of progressive Risk Management experience.
Strong knowledge of insurance program management, enterprise risk frameworks, and business continuity planning.
Change management experience with an ability to embrace and champion change and drive collaboration and agile processes.
Proven ability to collaborate with cross- functional teams including the ability to coach and guide others to achieve success, organize, plan and manage risk mitigation strategies.

Language Compliance

Description

The Warehouse Support Rep II serves as a leadership position within the warehouse, with primary responsibility for assisting the Operations Support Specialist and ensuring the efficient operation of our Columbus facility. This role also provides coverage during staff absences, maintaining continuity across all warehouse functions and supporting team members as needed.

The schedule for this role is Monday- Friday, 2:30pm – 11:00pm EST with a 30 minute lunch and 40 working hours per week.

Responsibilities

Daily functions may consist of one or all the following:

Lead operations by ensuring freight being processed correctly, operation staffed appropriately and audit pieces for accuracy

Process freight on the floor as needed: loading & unloading trailers

Administrative Processing:

Create routing sheet within Beacon (ERP system) so operations is aware of what customers and which trucks will be processed
Set up the first truck for departure; involves paperwork preparation
Create labels as needed for specific customers
Create report itemizing piece count for the day, weight of line hauls, numbers of skids, etc.; ensure Induction and Branch ops reports are complete
Check TSD exception report to ensure no local trucks listed under the exceptions
Customs CCI and PARS process scanning and email
Beacon data entry
Train new hires and lead cross training between warehouse & office processing
Communication with internal departments (i.e., District Quality Service Managers & Customer Support) to ensure accurate freight processing, product track & trace, updates on issues, guidance on decision making with customers
Communicate with drivers & carriers to schedule pick-ups; on an as needed basis
Carry out other duties as appropriate and as assigned by his/her manager

Description

The Credit and Collections Representative will be responsible for contacting customers whose account balances are past their contractual payment terms to facilitate the collection of outstanding balances. This function requires use of an ERP system and knowledge of freight invoicing.

Hours of Work: Hybrid schedule, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with in‑office days Tuesday–Thursday.

Responsibilities

Specifically target customers whose accounts receivable balances are over 60 days past due while also working to maintain customers’ AR balances within contractual terms.
Contact delinquent customers/freight auditors to diagnose reasons for non-payment.
Ensure customers/freight auditors are receiving invoices in correct format by working with IT and support branch personnel in helping resolve billing issues in a timely manner.
Answer and/or direct customer invoice inquiries.
Generate and send customer statements by downloading invoice information from AR systems and importing into an excel format so that data can be manipulated to customer needs.
Meet with Collections Supervisor on a weekly basis to discuss top delinquent accounts. Further discussions will be held on an account level to discuss what immediate actions are being taken to resolve delinquent issues of each account.
Carry out other duties as appropriate and as assigned by their manager.

Experience

5+ years of collections experience Must have proficiency with MS Office applications.
Microsoft Excel skills are necessary.
Ability to engage in creative problem solving and effectively adaptability to changes in processes and methodologies.
